Virtual Assistance: Economic Aid for Businesses

The economy is in a bit of a “slump” at the moment, to say the least. Small businesses and entrepreneurs need to make sure that every penny they are spending will give them the best return possible. There’s a hiring freeze, but the work still needs to get done. What’s the answer? Virtual Assistance!

A Virtual Assistant is a knowledgeable professional who is there when you need her. You don’t have to find her a desk, buy her a computer, give her benefits, or pay her taxes. Just let her know what you need, give her enough lead time to do the work, and be prepared to be thrilled with the results!

Nicole Turner of 80/20 Virtual Services wrote an interesting article entitled Hiring a Virtual Assistant is Smart Economics in a Scary Economy about the benefits of hiring a VA today.

And Cathy Stucker, the Idea Lady, gives some excellent tips for business owners in her blog post, Prospering in a Tough Economy.

The economy will turn around, hopefully sooner rather than later. Discover what a Virtual Assistant can do to help you get your business through this rough patch. You can start by checking out the VA Directory at the Wisconsin VA Network website. Good luck!

Great blog post Melodee! Yes, one of the beauties of hiring a Virtual Assistant is that it can very much assist with cash flow in such a volatile economy.

Thanks, Rachel! And being able to help our clients is the icing on the cake, isn’t it?

I must say that I enjoy reading your blog. Except for the posting about the fact that it’s spring in Australia now. I’m just starting to deal with the cold and snow here in Wisconsin :-(

And, of course, you have now contributed to my infomaniac tendencies since I had to grab your RSS feed!

ABEL – I see that your link shows that your company is in India. I hope that your comment is not implying that VAs in the United States do not focus on providing the best work that they are able to do, because I will definitely take exception to that.

I would be happy to discuss this with you if you’d like, but I have a feeling you only left the comment to get your link in my blog. So, there it is.

Yes, you are exactly right Melodee. It’s such a great feeling to be able to help another person.

You’ve got some quality information here in your blog also. Keep the information coming!

On another note you might be interested in posting something to http://virtualniche.wordpress.com. That is if you and your business has a niche you would like to market. If you do have something then email me and I will get it up there!

Oh, and about the spring things… it is the third day of summer now here in Australia. The airconditioner is getting a workout and I am considering going to the beach sometime soon. Oops sorry, I’m probably making you feel worse (I’ve got a terrible sense of humour)… you never know, maybe it’s the time for you to book in a holiday to leave the cold weather behind!

Oh, yeah. Thanks, Rachel. I just love hearing about you going to the beach while I’m sitting in my office watching the snow fall!

Maybe we should switch places. Just for a few months. I’ll bet you’d LOVE to get a chance to shovel lots of snow :-)
