Infomania: A Relapse
2008-11-06 | Filed Under Virtual Assistance |
And I was doing so well…getting rid of RSS feeds that I wasn’t reading and zapping those Google alerts that no longer interest me.
Unfortunately, I have had a major relapse over the past couple of weeks.
Now, I’m not going to say that it was the fault of my fellow Informaniac, Janet Barclay – I’m going to let you decide for yourself:
- Janet’s blog post, Just Jan on Monday Morning, was so good it drew a pithy comment by Alex Fayle of Someday Syndrome. Of course, I had to check out his blog which was so amazing, I HAD to add it to my RSS feeds (61 at current count).
- Janet’s post on Social Networking persuaded me to spend an hour updating my LinkedIn profile and looking for questions to answer to show my Virtual Assistance expertise.
- Even today, Janet’s posting (More Infomaniacs) has fed into my information cravings! She had a link to Infomaniac.biz which offers 100 free ebooks and pamphlets and she DARED me to download them. What was I to do?? When I get them, I’ll have to take a week off of work to read them all.
I’m sure you’ll agree that Janet is an Informaniac Junkie enabler and should be punished. I think I’ll sign her up for the 100 free e-books (tee, hee). (Don’t tell her – let it be a surprise
)

Melodee, even though you are being so mean to me, I’m going to be kind and say I still think you are on the right track, as long as you continue to eliminate RSS feeds and Google alerts that really don’t interest you.
As to those 100 ebooks – I assume you were teasing since I haven’t received any – but please do let me know if there are some good ones in the collection!
Awww, Janet, you know I’m only teasin’ ya! And I will let you know about those great e-books – when I find the time to read them
